In our small-town romance, Summer, determined to prove herself at her father’s sports agency, finds herself unexpectedly tasked with managing the career of Rhett, the youngest cowboy in his family. Rhett's career is on the line after some missteps with the media, and Summer's father sees an opportunity for her to step in and set things right. Their relationship starts off rocky, with Rhett's brooding disposition and Summer's positive outlook on life clashing at every turn. However, as they navigate the career challenges and the small-town life, their animosity turns to attraction. A great introduction to the Chestnut Springs series, we recommend reading this one in order to better understand the characters developed in the next books. While not our favorite in the series, we still found this spicy forced proximity cowboy romance to be a must-read.
