The anticipated story of Jeremey and Cecily did not disappoint. We again follow the children from the previous series of Kent’s, Royal Elite, in this dark college romance. Cecily harbors a childhood crush on Landon and will do anything to garner his affection. So when she enters enemy territory to find out more about those who run the rival school, she unknowingly gets caught by a predator…and likes it. Jeremey is the head of the Heathens at Kings U as well as next in line to take over the mafia. Jeremy's obsession with Cecily soon takes center stage as he begins stalking her as prey. Their story unfolds as they delve into the intricacies of their sexual desires. Jeremey pushes Cecily’s boundaries while also allowing her to be comfortable enough to indulge in her true desires. Cecily, the so-called “Mom” of the group, has so much more going on under the surface and suffers from immense anxiety. Jeremey has major trust issues which, ultimately, is their biggest obstacle. The third-act breakup was a bit tough to swallow at its core due to some dreaded miscommunication, but we stan this book just as much as the rest of the series.

Content Warnings: Dubious consent, primal play, morally black MMC, mentions of sexual assault.
