While the pregnancy trope may not be our favorite, Meghan Quinn has a knack for making even the most unlikely scenarios enjoyable. In this dual point-of-view narrative, readers gain insight into the minds of both Eli and Penny as they navigate the unexpected aftermath of a one-night stand: pregnancy. Tensions run high as Penny happens to be the sister of Eli's teammate, whom he was strictly warned to avoid. Despite Eli's undeniable intrigue with Penny, he’s discouraged when his teammates unanimously agree that he's the last person they'd want dating someone close to them. With Eli harboring a complicated backstory and Penny grappling with the ups and downs of pregnancy hormones, the story takes on a humorous yet heartfelt tone. Overall, it's a compelling tale that will have you craving donuts, laughing out loud, and rooting for their HEA.
